The Jews want to stone Jesus for blasphemy because being a man he claims to be God
Jesus speaks in a way that only God could speak, and the Jews reject him and call him abusive names
God forgives every sin, no matter how serious, if we truly repent and intend to stop committing it
Believers will continue to live in happiness after their death and rise bodily on the last day
Mary will conceive the Messiah who will inherit the throne of his father David and reign over the house of Jacob forever
Since the crowds think that they know where Jesus came from, they conclude that he can’t be the Messiah
Jesus makes the physically blind see and the physically seeing spiritually blind
Since Jesus found little faith in Nazareth, his hometown, he went elsewhere to preach and work miracles
Jesus’ food is to do the will of his Father – to seek out and save lost sinners
God’s mercy knows no bounds when a sinner turns around, goes back to him, and sincerely repents
For their faithlessness the Jews will lose the kingdom and the gospel, which will be given to a nation that produces the fruits thereof
A self-centered worldly life without concern for God or our fellow man will cause us to end up in hell when we die
Jesus calls us to a life of perfection, to be merciful to others as God is merciful to us
Jesus appears transfigured in glory to strengthen the faith of his disciples to endure his crucifixion
Jesus gives us a very high ideal to strive for – to love even our enemies
Jesus tells us that the commandment not to kill also means not even to be angry with our brother
Don’t just complain to yourself about your situation, but ask God with persistence for the things you need
