God the Son who existed from all eternity with the Father became man and lived and died among us for our salvation
Persecution was central to Jesus’ life, even in his infancy
Jesus’ presentation in the temple is a prefiguration of his saving offering of himself on the cross for the sins of the world
The Savior of the world was born not in Nazareth but Bethlehem, the city of David, for he is the heir to his everlasting throne
